History
More than 30 years ago a group of young people had the idea of
organizing an encounter of young people, a Congress of Catholic
Students, with the aim of becoming aware of the problems and
challenges that world presents for and find ways to solve them.
Faced with so many false answers offered in the world, they wanted to break the “silence” of the youth and reflect together, young people with young people, on the participation that we must have in this society and in this world in which we live.
As a result of this initiative CONVIVIO arose in 1977. Since then, thousands of young people have gone to CONVIVIO and tell that it was a weekend that marked their lives. Today gather around 850 participants in various cities.
Convivio has been held in 14 cities in different countries in Latin America such as Peru, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador and Chile. Sydney is the first English speaking city to have held a Convivio, but already it has spread to the UK and the USA, with over 200 students participating in Convivio at Connecticut.
Convivio Sydney
is run by the Christian Life Movement (www.clminternational.org)
